The downhole motor, developed by GPE Oil Machinery Co., Ltd, is an advanced drilling tool designed to convert hydraulic energy into mechanical energy. Its power section consists of a stator and a rotor, enabling efficient drilling operations. The motors are available in two variants: single lobe (1/2) and multi lobes (N/N+1), which refer to the number of lobes on the stator and rotor. Generally, a higher number of lobes results in increased output torque.
These motors are commonly used in conjunction with cone bits, diamond bits, and other drilling tools for various drilling operations such as directional drilling, vertical drilling, horizontal drilling, deviation correction, coring, reaming, and sidetracking.
