A downhole motor is a drilling tool developed by GPE Oil Machinery Co., Ltd to convert hydraulic energy into mechanical energy. It consists of a power section, comprising a stator and a rotor. This motor is available in two variants - single lobe (1/2) and multi lobes (N/N+1), depending on the number of lobes in the stator and rotor. Generally, a higher number of lobes results in increased output torque. Our downhole motors are commonly used with cone bits, diamond bits, and other drilling tools for various operations such as directional and vertical drilling, horizontal drilling, correcting deviation, coring, reaming, and sidetracking.
For enhanced performance, our downhole motors can be equipped with an extended power section. These motors offer significantly higher output torque and power, leading to a marked increase in penetration rate. They have gained high prestige in the North America market due to their exceptional performance and longevity, with a working life of over a thousand hours.
Our downhole motors also feature an optional adjustable bent housing. This housing allows easy adjustment of the bent angle from 0 to 3 degrees on the rig floor, without the need for shims. The angle is directly pointed to the high side of the tool face, providing greater flexibility in drilling operations.
With independent intellectual property rights, our downhole motor incorporates an anti-friction connecting rod. This feature significantly improves the motor's capacity and running time.
