The drill collars offered by GPE Oil Machinery Co., Ltd are manufactured using modified AISI 4145H chromium molybdenum alloy steel. These drill collar bars undergo full-length heat treatment and water quenching to meet the mechanical properties specified in ASTM A-370. Each drill collar comes with comprehensive mechanical and chemical mill test certifications to ensure quality.
Our drill collars are guaranteed to have a hardness range of 285 to 341 BHN and an impact value of 40 ft.-lbs. at room temperature, one inch below the surface. This ensures their durability and reliability in demanding drilling operations.
To ensure precise and close tolerance bores, all drill collar bars are trepanned and then drifted to API specifications. The bar surface finish is "as rolled," which maintains the original mill finish and enhances the overall performance of the drill collars.
