The API Drill Collar is a vital component in the Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) used for drilling operations. It provides the necessary weight on the bit and maintains tension in the drillstring. Manufactured by GPE Oil Machinery Co., Ltd, the API Drill Collar has received NS-1 certification.

• Manufactured from 4145H modified quenched and tempered steel


• Strict metallurgical specifications ensure consistent maximum depth of hardness through full length heat treating


• Hardness range of 285 to 341 BHN and Charpy impact value of 40 ft-lbs guaranteed at evenly distributed 16 points in any sections at room temperature


• Connections are completed (phosphate coated) to protect them from the elements and prevent galling upon initial make-up


• Thread roots are cold rolled on API and H-90 connections
